An organisation is its people.
Shuvam Misra (B.Tech, M.Tech, IIT Bombay) has been working with computers for more than a decade and Internet technology since 1990. His experience includes writing programs on punched-card-based mainframes, financial software development with Citicorp, research projects in Unix internals and parallel processing at the Computer Science Department of IIT Bombay, and setting up and managing network services for the IIT campus network. His most recent assignment was as Vice-President (Engg) of Ravi Database Consultants, where he led the systems team that implemented India's largest and most well-known Web site: IndiaWorld. Among other things, IndiaWorld was the only Indian Website to handle automatic online credit card authentication and billing. After setting up IndiaWorld, Shuvam left Ravi Database Consultants in 1996 to found SpaceNET.
Shuvam has conducted numerous tutorials, seminars and workshops, including private seminars for Autodesk India and ICICI and sessions in the CSI Seminars at NCST in May 1996 and July 1997. He conducts regular seminars with Multinet Infosys Private Limited, the Indian Merchants's Chamber, Mumbai, and the Indo-American Society. He writes a column in an Internet-related monthly magazine published by the Indian Express (Madurai) group.

Kishan Parekh (BE, Bombay University) has been working on software development and system integration projects since 1991. His latest assignment before joining SpaceNET was with Ravi Database Consultants where he was personally responsible for some of the most complex Web-based online services seen on any Web site. Many of IndiaWorld's subscriber services have been designed and implemented by Kishan. After joining SpaceNET, Kishan has handled projects that included online shopping systems on the Web, Internet security systems, corporate Intranet applications, etc.
Geetanjali Sampemane (B.Tech, IIT Bombay, PGDST, NCST) has been working in the area of Internet services and wide-area networking since 1991. Her career started with the ERNET project at NCST, as a member of their network management group. At ERNET, she has worked with a nationwide network of more than three hundred sites connected by VSAT links, leased lines, and dial-up connections. While here, she implemented a distributed information system for the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation. From November 1995 to August 1997, Geetanjali has been to the United Nations Development Program in New York as a member of the core team managing the worldwide Sustainable Development Networking Programme (SDNP). The SDNP project implements low-cost wide-area networks using technology appropriate to developing countries.
Geetanjali has conducted numerous tutorials and training programs and delivered lectures in India and abroad. She has conducted workshops on Internet technology at the annual Internet Society Conferences -- INET'95 (Hawaii) and INET'96 (Montreal). She has also conducted a tutorial on Network Management at the CSI annual meet in Calcutta in November 1994.
Geetanjali is an advisory consultant to SpaceNET. She brings with her worldwide exposure and experience in creating cost-effective networking solutions uniquely suited to Third World conditions. In addition to networks, her areas of interest include cryptography and digital signatures.
